Sunday's Debt, Sealed
Sunday's Debt, Sealed
7 Jun 2026
The medical thing happened on Friday, and I knew immediately that Friday was off the table. (For those who know, they know) It’s something I can do, but it meant that the maintenance spanking we'd planned was going to have to wait. He understood without me having to explain too much, just nodded and pressed a kiss to my forehead before we turned in for the night.
But Friday morning, over coffee, he brought it up.
"I'll find a day this weekend," he said casually, scrolling through his phone like he was talking about mowing the lawn. "We'll get you reset."
I felt my shoulders slump. The pout came before I could stop it, my bottom lip pushing out like I was one of my students instead of a grown woman. "I don't want it," I muttered into my mug. "I'm fine. We can just skip it this week."
He set his phone down slowly. Looked at me with those steady, unreadable eyes that always made my stomach flip.
"Tell me you don't need it."
I opened my mouth. Closed it. The words stuck in my throat because they'd be a lie and we both knew it. My patience was frayed thin, and the familiar restless energy had been building under my skin since Wednesday. I needed the release. I needed him to take me apart and put me back together.
But I didn't want to admit it.
"You're a meanie," I said instead, the childish word slipping out before I could stop it.
He laughed—a low, warm sound that should have comforted me but instead sent a spike of anxious anticipation through my chest. "I've been called worse," he said. "Finish your coffee."
Sunday morning arrived faster than I wanted. The girls had a youth group at nine, which meant we were up early, scrambling to find the eldest's other shoe. The house was chaotic—the good kind, the kind that came with having teenagers—but by 8:45, everyone was dressed and out the door.
I wore a sundress. Pale yellow with little white flowers, fitted at the waist and flowing at the skirt. It was modest enough for church, pretty enough to make me feel put-together, and thin enough that I was hyperaware of every brush of fabric against my skin. I knew why I'd chosen it, even if I hadn't admitted it to myself at the time.
The nine o'clock service was fine. Pastor spoke about patience—a verse from Galatians that made me shift in my seat more than once—but I couldn't focus. My mind kept drifting to what would happen after. Or what might happen. Or what I both feared and wanted to happen.
When service ended, we walked the girls to the youth wing for second service. They'd be there until one, eating donuts and talking about whatever teenagers talked about when parents weren't around.
"You're picking us up, right?" the youngest asked, already distracted by her phone.
"One o'clock sharp," my husband confirmed. "Be outside."
Sophie threw her arms around my waist—a quick squeeze before she bolted after her sister. "Love you, Mom!"
"Love you too, baby."
Then we were alone.
The drive home was five minutes. Just five minutes down tree-lined streets. I stared out the window and felt the silence in the car press against my ears.
He didn't say anything. Just drove with one hand on the wheel, the other resting on the center console. Relaxed. In control.
I, on the other hand, was vibrating with nervous energy.
When he pulled into the garage and killed the engine, I sat frozen for a moment. The overhead door rattled closed behind us, plunging us into dim, mechanical silence.
"Go inside," he said quietly. "Stand in the corner."
My stomach dropped. "Which—"
"You know which one."
I did. The corner in the living room, the one by the bookshelf where we never put any furniture because it was an awkward space. The corner.
I climbed out of the car on unsteady legs. As I walked through the mudroom, I heard him head in the opposite direction—toward the barn. I paused, confused, but didn't question it. That wasn't my place. My place was to obey.
So I did.
I slipped off my sandals and left them by the door. The hardwood was cool under my bare feet as I padded into the living room. The corner waited, stark and white, and I walked toward it with my heart pounding in my throat.
Nose in. Hands at my sides. I stood there in my yellow sundress, staring at the tiny imperfections in the paint, the faint shadow where a picture had once hung. My breath sounded loud in the quiet house.
I don't know how long I stood there before I heard the garage door again. A moment later, heavy footsteps crossed the kitchen. Then the sound of a chair being dragged across the floor—the wooden kitchen chair, the one with the straight back and no cushion.
I gulped.
Then I felt him behind me.
He didn't speak. His hands found the zipper at the back of my dress, and it coming down seemed nerve wracking. He peeled the fabric off my shoulders, sliding it down my arms, over my hips, letting it pool at my feet.
"Step out."
I lifted one foot, then the other. He picked up the dress and draped it over the back of the couch. Then his hands returned, finding the clasp of my bra. Unhooking it with practiced ease. The straps slid down my arms, and the cool air rushed against my bare back.
I was half-naked in the corner, and we hadn't even started.
His fingers hooked into the waistband of my panties. White cotton, simple, the kind I wore when I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing. He pulled them down, over the swell of my bottom, down my thighs, to my ankles.
"Step out."
I did. I was completely bare now, naked in the corner of my own living room, my dress and underwear folded neatly on the couch behind me. I felt small. Exposed. I kept my nose pressed to the wall and waited.
He didn't touch me. Instead, I heard him move away, then settle into the chair he'd brought in. The wood creaked under his weight.
He watched me.
I don't know how long I stood there—five minutes, ten—while he sat behind me and observed. The scrutiny was its own kind of torture. I could feel his eyes on every inch of my bare skin, from the curve of my spine to the swell of my hips. I wanted to fidget, to cover myself, to turn around and beg him to just get it over with.
But I didn't. I stayed still. Obedient.
Finally, I heard him stand.
His hand closed around my upper arm, firm but not bruising, and he turned me away from the corner. I kept my eyes down, unable to look at him as he guided me across the room. We stopped in front of the chair, and that's when I saw it.
The strap.
It lay on the floor behind the chair, coiled like a snake. Brown leather, thick and well-oiled, the kind that left a lasting impression. My eyes went wide, panic surging in my chest.
"Nooooo," I gasped, the word tumbling out before I could stop it. "The strap is for punishment. I've been a good girl!"
He didn't respond. Just took my wrist and guided me down, over his knee, my bare stomach pressing against the rough denim of his jeans. My hands found the floor. My feet lifted off the ground, dangling uselessly. My bottom was raised high, completely exposed, and I felt painfully, acutely naked.
"I've been good," I repeated, my voice smaller now, shaky. "I promise I've been good."
"I know you have," he said quietly. "This is maintenance, Lisa. Not punishment. You know the difference."
Then his hand came down.
SMACK.
The first swat landed hard, and I jerked in surprise. It wasn't a warm-up. It wasn't gentle. His palm cracked across my right cheek with real force, and the sting bloomed bright and immediate.
SMACK. Left cheek.
SMACK. SMACK. SMACK.
He didn't ease into it. He spanked me hard and fast, his hand rising and falling with a steady, punishing rhythm. The sound echoed off the walls—crisp, sharp cracks that seemed impossibly loud in the quiet house.
"Ow," I yelped, shifting involuntarily. My hand reached back and grabbed his ankle, anchoring myself as the heat began to build. "Ow, ow, ow!"
He didn't slow down. His palm fell again and again, covering every inch of my backside. The sting grew, layer upon layer, until my entire bottom was buzzing with heat. I could feel my skin warming under his attention, turning pink, then darker.
My grunts of discomfort shifted into yelps, then cries. "Please! Please, it stings!"
SMACK. SMACK. SMACK.
"Just let it out," he said calmly, his hand never stopping. "Let it all go."
I was crying now, real tears leaking from the corners of my eyes. The stress I'd been carrying all week—the snapped patience, the restless energy, the accumulated tension—was being beaten out of me, swat by swat. My body surrendered, going limp over his knee, and still he continued.
"Please," I sobbed. "Please, I need—"
SMACK.
"I know what you need."
He spanked me until I was wailing, until my voice was hoarse and my bottom felt like it was on fire. Time lost meaning. There was only the sound of his hand striking my skin, the spreading heat, the overwhelming surrender.
Then he stopped.
I hung there, limp and trembling, my breath coming in ragged gasps. I heard him shift, reaching for something, and panic flared fresh in my chest.
"Nooooo," I whined, my voice thick with tears. "Please no more. I can't take anymore. Please."
He ignored me.
Something cool and hard pressed against my burning skin. I flinched, expecting the strap, but it wasn't leather. It was smooth, oval, heavy.
The hairbrush.
Relief flooded through me—but only for a moment. The brush tapped against my cheek once, twice, and then it crashed down.
CRACK.
The pain was different. Deeper. More concentrated. The solid wood drove the sting into the muscle, sending shockwaves through my entire body. I screamed, my legs kicking uselessly, but his arm across my lower back held me firmly in place.
CRACK. CRACK. CRACK.
He found a rhythm, slower than with his hand but infinitely more intense. Each stroke of the brush felt like it was branding me, leaving a deep, throbbing ache that didn't fade. The heat in my bottom went from stinging to burning, from burning to something primal and overwhelming.
I was screaming now, really screaming, my voice cracking. I flailed, my hands slapping against the floor, my body trying to twist away, but he was stronger. He held me down and continued, stroke after stroke, painting stripes of agony across my already tender skin.
"Please!" I shrieked. "Please, it's too much! I can't—I can't—"
CRACK.
"You can," he said steadily. "And you will."
The brush fell again and again. I lost count. I lost everything except the sensation—the overwhelming, consuming fire that had become my entire world. The stress, the tension, the restless energy—it was all being burned away, leaving nothing but the raw, honest truth of my submission.
When it finally stopped, I was beyond words. I hung over his knee, limp and sobbing, my face wet with tears, my body trembling. I felt hollowed out. Clean.
He set the brush aside and helped me up. My legs didn't work right—I stumbled, and he caught me, pulling me into his lap. I curled into his chest, burying my face in his shirt, and cried.
"Shhh," he murmured, his arms wrapping around me. "You did so well. I've got you. I've got you."
He held me for a long time, his hand stroking my hair, his voice low and soothing. The fire in my bottom was a steady, throbbing pulse, but it felt right. Earned. I felt small and safe and deeply, profoundly loved.
"Better?" he asked eventually.
I nodded against his chest. "Mmhmm. Thank you."
He kissed the top of my head. "Go shower. I'll get the girls."
I pulled back, wiping my face with the back of my hand. "I look like a mess."
"You look beautiful," he said, and I believed him.
I made my way to the bathroom on shaky legs, my bottom throbbing with every step. The hot water was its own kind of mercy, washing away the tears, soothing some of the ache. I stood under the spray for a long time, letting the water cascade over me, feeling clean inside and out.
When I emerged, wrapped in a towel, he was already gone. The car pulled out of the driveway just as I finished dressing—soft cotton pants, an oversized shirt, nothing that would press too harshly against my tender skin.
I made myself a cup of tea and settled onto the couch, careful to sit on my hip. Outside, the afternoon sun painted the trees gold. Inside, the house was quiet and peaceful.
When he returned with the girls, chattering about donuts and youth group games, I was calm. Composed. The Lisa they knew and loved.
But underneath my soft clothes, my bottom still glowed with heat. A secret reminder. A quiet reset.
And I was grateful.
